Activision fatto un doppio annuncio riguardante Guitar Hero III e il gruppo rock anni ‘80 dei Poison: oltre a due canzoni, ovvero sia “Talk Dirty to Me” in versione cover e “Go That Far” originale, il gioco vedrà il frontman del gruppo Bret Michaels inserito come personaggio in versione poligonale che apparirà durante l’esecuzione delle sue canzoni. Michaels, come Slash, è stato sottoposto addirittura a motion capture, per riprodurre perfettamente le sue movenze su schermo.
