L’anno scorso era stato Journey, quest’anno The Last of Us. Da thatgamecompany, lo scettro di trionfatore alla quattordicesima edizione dei Game Developers Choice Awards passa dunque a Naughty Dog, ormai abituatisi a fare incetta di riconoscimenti col titolo uscito l’anno scorso in esclusiva per PlayStation 3.

Si tratta, per chi non dovesse saperlo, di una premiazione che avviene all’interno della Game Developers Conference, particolarmente importante proprio perché a stabilire i vincitori sono gli stessi addetti ai lavori, che danno dunque il giusto riconoscimento a coloro che si sono distinti come migliori.

A parte The Last of Us, che porta a casa il premio di gioco dell’anno e altro ancora, ottimo risultato anche per l’indie Papers, Please, miglior gioco scaricabile, mentre al “padre di PlayStation” Ken Kutaragi è stato consegnato il Lifetime Achievement Award, una sorta di premio alla carriera per il suo straordinario contributo all’industria videoludica.
