La cerimonia dei The Game Awards organizzata da Geoff Keighley e dai più autorevoli attori dell’industria videoludica per premiare i più importanti videogiochi pubblicati nel corso dell’ultimo anno solare ha avuto finalmente luogo e ha incoronato God of War come miglior titolo del 2018: il nuovo atto dell’iconica serie action fantasy di Sony Santa Monica riesce a superare l’agguerrita concorrenza di kolossal del calibro di Assassin’s Creed, Marvel’s Spider-Man, Monster Hunter World e, soprattutto, Red Dead Redemption 2.
L’ultima edizione losangelina dei Game Awards è stata trasmessa ieri notte in diretta streaming sulle principali piattaforme di condivisione video: nel corso dello show che ha permesso ai vertici di Sony Santa Monica di portarsi a casa la statuetta per il miglior videogioco dell’anno sono stati assegnati diversi altri premi in base ai giudizi espressi dalla critica di settore e, nelle categorie legate agli eSports, alle indicazioni dirette degli appassionati ottenute tramite i voti pervenuti in queste settimane sul sito ufficiale dell’iniziativa.
