Il momento più atteso degli Spike’s Video Game Awards 2008 è arrivato, ed ha decretato il miglior titolo di quest’anno videoludico particolarmente ricco di sorprese e giochi di spessore: da oggi, infatti, Grand Theft Auto IV è entrato nell’Olimpo dei “GOTY” (Game of the Year) succedendo ad Oblivion prima e a Call of Duty 4 poi.
Nonostante il peso specifico di un capolavoro come GTA IV, la caratura degli altri titoli in nomination per diventare Gioco dell’Anno ha reso la vittoria del titolo Rockstar ancora più importante: battere infatti la concorrenza di Fallout 3, Gears of War 2, LittleBigPlanet e Metal Gear Solid 4 significa divenire “il Re dei Re” e questo non può che accrescerne il successo maturato sul campo.
Prima di lasciarvi a tutte le altre premiazioni nelle diverse categorie dell’edizione 2008 dell’evento losangeliano, vogliamo dedicare un applauso a tutti i vincitori e a coloro che, pur non avendo portato a casa i premi sperati, ci hanno regalato emozioni e divertimento a fiumi.
